Role: Domestic Violence Project Worker

Location: Crewe, Cheshire

Rate: £13 - 15 ph (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37 (Monday to Friday)

Length: 3 months (with possible extension)

My Client, a specialist Cheshire based Domestic Violence Charity, is looking to recruit a experienced Domestic Violence Project Worker to work on their Triage and Assessment Team in Crewe.

Role synopsis

  • You will be carrying out initial assessments on victims of domestic violence (including CAADA DASH RIC and in depth risk and needs assessments)
  • Responsible for crisis and safety management including carrying out safety plan, advice on how to manage risk and how to exit safely
  • Providing advice and guidance around how to access services and available and ensuring client understood their options and rights linked to housing, benefits/ financial support, legal (i.e. non molestation orders, injunctions), family/ child protection etc
  • Signposting and making referrals to in house domestic violence services and partner services
  • Supporting victims to access refuge and alternative accommodation including contacting refuges, finding availability and accompanying clients to refuges

They are a fantastic organisation to work for and you will be working alongside a team of experienced and dedicated Domestic Violence Support professionals.

It is essential that you have experience of supporting and/ or advocating on behalf of victims of Domestic Violence.
