Job description

Our client, a National Children's Charity is currently recruiting for a Service Manager for a minimum of three months.

As the interim Service Manager, you will be expected to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of mental health early help services in Birmingham predominantly ensuring that all elements of
service delivery for children and young people are successful and delivered to a high quality against the contract.

Other duties will include but not limited to promoting the service externally but especially with Statutory services including Education, Social Care, Police, Health, Mental Health, and Family Support. To be the lead point of contact and maintain positive professional
relationships with children, young people, families, colleagues and partner agencies. To be responsible for oversight of safeguarding referrals and ensuring practice and records are to standard and policy. Manage the conduct and performance of staff within the service. Take lead responsibility in identifying both clinical and nonclinical training needs through the appraisal process, supervision, competency framework and training needs analysis.

In order to be considered for this post you will have to demonstrate that you already have:

Substantial experience of leadership within a mental health service/project, Track record of working with external stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for children and young people.

A working knowledge of common mental and emotional health issues that young people face and an understanding of current legislation, policy, procedures, and issues relating to safeguarding children and young people.

A qualification in leadership/ management or Relevant professional qualification in the field of mental health or the support of young people or Extensive experience of leadership/management with evidence of continual professional development.
