Job description

We're working with a Domestic Abuse Charity within the East Midlands that are looking for Temporary Domestic Abuse Support Workers to help cover sickness and vacant positions.

Ideally, full time workers that can cover Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm. However, we maybe able to offer part time hours - please ask.

You will work as part of a team to provide a high quality independent support service to women and children who have or are experiencing domestic violence.

Providing short, medium and longer term interventions which enable women and their children to be safer, achieve better health and wellbeing and longer term autonomy and resilience.

You will carry out a DASH RIC for every woman referred to the service and refer to the relevant MARAC where an assessment is high risk.

You will provide housing-related support to women and their children in the service. You maybe required to provide locality based Healthy Relationship Programs and one to one advice sessions for current and former clients as well as new clients.

We are looking for someone with experience of providing advice and support to victims of domestic abuse.

Safe Lives Qualification would be advantageous. Enhanced DBS is essential, Car driver would be preferential.
