Job description

Our client is looking for a Children's Worker for 30 hours per week to start ASAP until the end of March 2020.

The hours can be flexible across Monday to Friday.

You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis with children and young people (5-19 years) affected by domestic abuse, Carrying out and recording an assessment of needs and risk for each child or young person. Developing and implementing a structured support plan with each child or young person, and regularly reviewing the plan. It's vital that you support the empowerment of children & young people, and assist them in recognising the dynamics of domestic abuse.

We are looking for someone that has experience of advocacy and support work with vulnerable children and young people, multi agency meetings including core groups, ICPC/RCPC and MARAC.

You must have knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse issues and the needs of children and young people affected by it, safeguarding children and child protection processes and practice.

An Enhanced DBS and Car Driver are both essential for this position.
