Job description

Our client, A National Charity is looking to recruit a Temporary IDVA to help ease the caseload of their existing team during a period of sickness.

This is a temporary position starting as soon as possible, working Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm.

You will work as part of a team to provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk. To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.

Focusing on and prioritising high risk cases, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning and personal support.

You will help them access services to keep them and their children safe.

You must have extensive knowledge, understanding and experience of working with vulnerable clients that have been affected by domestic/ sexual abuse, drug and alcohol substance misuse, mental health issues and/or homelessness. You will have the ability to carry out risk assessments (CAADA DASH), develop safety and support plans, and liaise with various agencies to support the clients.

It is essential that you have the ability to assess risk and manage crisis situations, produce and maintain professional, detailed records, letters and reports.

SafeLives / CAADA Qualified would be advantageous

Enhanced DBS, Car Driver and immediate availability are essential.
