Role: Family Mediator

Based: North East (base is flexible and you will be covering Durham, Sunderland, Northumberland and Darlington)

Rate: £14 - 17ph (dependent on experience)

Length: 3 months ongoing

Hours: 37.5

Qualifications: Must have completed accredited Mediation training

Start date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced Mediator to support parents of children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND) and to mediate between them and various schools and colleges across the North East.

Your main aim will be to ensure that the child and parents' voices are heard and that the child has access to all available support, education and training.

You will be supporting the service by mainly delivering mediation meetings but support also with initial enquiries and paperwork.

They are looking for someone who has a proven track record of mediation and experience of working with vulnerable adults, children or families.

You will be provided with training and support around specialist SEND knowledge.

The successful candidate will be working for one of the UK's leading children and young people's charities. This role would be a great opportunity for a candidate to develop their career in an interesting and dynamic service.
