Merseyside based Registered Manager

Rate: Up to £37,414 dependent upon experience

An exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced Team Manager to manage a new therapeutically informed move on service for children and young people.

You will be working for a respected national charity who works tirelessly to transform the lives of some of the UK's most vulnerable children. They provide high quality and innovative services and delivery child focus programmes which they are constantly striving to develop and improve.

The aim of the service is to support children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect and rejection and to work with them to manage their behaviour safely, develop their resilience and prepare them to the transition out of care.

You will be managing one of two newly commissioned residential homes which will work with children using a therapeutic approach. The home is a 4 bed residential children's service and you will be responsible for the day to day running of the home.

You will be responsible for the operational management of the team which will include appraisals and supervisions, performance management, training and development and recruitment and retention. You will also hold lead responsibility for all safeguarding concerns and will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained.

You will be working with an experienced team and will together provide an innovative, trauma informed therapeutic service which truly has the young persons needs and goals at its heart.

You will be responsible for raising awareness of the service and its work within the locality to commissioners, external partners and supporters and proactively working to develop and maintain productive working relationships.

Previous Experience

  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services in the children and young people residential management pathway (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience managing/ coordinating services supporting children, young people and/or families
