An exciting opportunity for a temporary Income Management Officer has arisen in Birmingham.
This is a Temporary, Full Time position to start next week; potential for temporary to permanent position.
The main aim of this role is to ensure our client maximises its income through the effective collection of rent, service charges and other income owed to it by customers working supportively and proactively with the aim to sustain tenancies
Main duties to include maximising the collection of rent and recover arrears, co-ordinate and control legal action, provide advice on Rents and Housing Benefit, ensure residents are maximising their income, budgeting effectively and have access to employment and training opportunities.
The aim is to encourage and facilitate customers financial situations through Welfare Benefit Advice, assisting with budgets and payment plans and may involve setting up bank accounts or dealing with utility companies. The successful candidates will be working in partnership with other voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure that all needs are being met and tenants are getting best value for their circumstances.
You must have previous knowledge/ experience of providing in depth advice on income, welfare benefits, budgeting and any housing related issues, you will have extensive experience of collecting rent/ arrears, legal action and court appearances.
