Role: Welfare and Benefits Advice Worker

Based: West Yorkshire

Rate: £14 - 16 ph

Length: 1 year contract

Hours: 37

An exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced Welfare and Benefits Worker to work with one of the UK's leading Children's Charities.

Our client has been awarded a grant from the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme to set up and run a new Energy Advice Service. The service will work closely with services across West Yorkshire to support clients through one off advice and ongoing case management.

Role synopsis:

  • Supporting clients and families within the Advice Centre, in Outreach Community Venues and client's homes
  • Linking and working closely with existing advice services across West Yorkshire to deliver high quality energy, fuel poverty and income maximisation advice
  • Supporting clients to improve their health, well being and quality of life
  • Working with clients to increase income and reduce debt
  • Working as part of a whole systems approach and with key stakeholders in the field
  • Delivering short workshops in community settings and deliver support in user's homes and outreach community venues across Bradford district
